Looking for information on the Morris' of Newport Pratt - have an old family tree that shows my grandfather was descended from John Morris a freeholder of NP in about 1770. He had a brother Samuel a weaver in NP married Mary Rilee in Newport Pratt church on April 8 1760. If anyone has any history of the Morris family prior to these people I would be very interested. I have many of their descendents and would be willing to share my files

My Ggrandfather 's name was Robert Hughes, born in Newport. His brothers name was George Hughes. I can find info on George but nothing on there parents, who were George Hughes and Annie Gettings. Robert went to England and married Mary McHugh. They immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio USA. Were there any other brothers or sisters? I was actually trying to find his birth record but don't have a church in Newport. They were RC. I figured his birth was about 1850-1855. Thanks
